Vine Kids app for Kids

Vine kids

Vine has introduced a new service namely "Vine Kids". Its function, as the name describes, is, to cater vines that are appropriate for younger audience and neglect the ones that are not, making it safe for younger audience to browse through Vines. The Kids section of Vines app adds quirky sounds upon tapping the screen and shows a new Vine by swiping to left or right and is overall tailored to be more fun for children.

From the official blog post:

The idea came about during an office conversation in early January. One of my colleagues was talking about how much his two-year-old daughter loves Vine –– he said he wished there was a separate app she could use to more easily watch posts that are appropriate for kids. That week happened to be Hack Week, a time when we get to work on projects outside of our day-to-day work. So two folks teamed up and built exactly that.

Vine is a video platform by twitter where users create and share looping videos that are cool.

Vine has channels to discover new content but it always had content that is pg-13 at very least. Browsing through apps several channels and feeds as kids are accustomed to do, could lead to some inappropriate content.

Vine Kids help parents solve the problem so they don't need to worry about what content their kids see.
